1. Joe played both wide receiver and halfback on his high school's football team.

In 1960 they went underfeated.

2. He has two german shepherds named Champ and Major.

3. He's a huge car enthusiast and gearhead.

He still has a '67 Corvette Stingray from his father.

4. Biden wrote and championed the Violence Against Women Act.

The landmark legislation helped change the culture around sexual assault and domestic violence.

5. Biden took the train from Wilmington to Washington, D.C. every day so he could be home with his kids.

6. After losing his wife and daughter in a car accident, Biden was sworn into the Senate at his sons'hospital bedsides.

7. Growing up with a stutter, Biden would recite Yeats and Emerson to work on his public speaking.

8. At age 29, Joe became one of the youngest people ever elected to the United States Senate.

He met the constitutional age requirement of 30 by the time he was sworn in.

9. If elected, he will be the second Catholic president in U.S. history. JFK was the first.

10. During their eight years in the White House, Obama and Biden stayed busy but made to sure to spend

quality time together at their weekly lunches.

11. Joe loves ice cream. His favorite flavor is chocolate chip.
